Hi & Welcome to Charlene & Richard’s travel blog: SeniorTravelTalesandTips.com
Upon retiring in 2005, our #1 Bucket List goal as seniors was to TRAVEL! Visiting new places, learning about cultures, seeing the sights, and having unique adventures was our dream. Initially, we tried the travel business with our own travel website and travel agent credentials. While it had benefits it didn’t meet many of our travel goals. Still seeking another travel venue, we became freelance travel writers with Travelroads.com of Marco Polo Publications. Since May 2009, we have written and shared our first-person travel adventures. Travel writing allows us to inspire you to seek out new experiences and destinations. Through words and photos we show you the fun and excitement of senior travelers “getting off the couch” and going on a travel adventure.
We continue to share travel adventures and stories at SeniorTravelTalesandTips.com. Here we provide travel tales of visiting “well know places” to “off the beaten path” sites and activities. Our goal is to provide senior travelers guidance, recommendations, insight, and entertainment from our travel experiences. Our tales provide ideas for a new adventure or to take a vicarious trip in your easy chair. SeniorTravelTalesandTips.com has tales from short jaunts to extended vacations, from self-guided trips to guided tours, from historical sites to active adventures.
As Baby Boomers, senior travelers, we seek a variety of destinations and vacation experiences to share. Golfing, hiking, walking, sightseeing and dining are consistently important on our trips. Our goal is to offer exciting travel ideas to Senior Travelers, especially the Baby Boomer generation, to create your own personal adventure.
